Assam flood toll mounts to 190, new areas inundated

The number of affected districts increased by two since Thursday, which include Bajali, Cachar, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Kamrup, Karimganj, Morigaon and Nagaon.

Two persons died in Cachar and Chirang respectively, while Barpeta, Biswanath, Darrang, Golaghat, Kamrup Metro, Lakhimpur and Nagaon reported one death each on Wednesday due to floods, Assam authorities said.
