Rain halts stubble burning, just one case reported in Punjab

As per the Ludhiana-based Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), only one farm fire was reported on Tuesday in Punjab from Mansa district, while the satellite did not spot any incident of stubble burning on October 16

Kharif crop in Punjab: 200k-hectare fields still to be cleared

Agriculture officials said that it may take another eight or 10 days before the kharif harvest ends across the state, though cultivators have cleared the crop in Majha and Doaba districts.

Union minister accuses AAP-led Punjab govt of turning Delhi into gas chamber

Environment minister Bhupender Yadav said that while Punjab saw a more than 19% rise in farm fires over what was seen in 2021, while Haryana (where the BJP in power) has seen a 30.6% drop in stubble burning during the same period.
