Farhan Akhtar was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He made his acting debut in 2008 with Rock On. He has starred in many movies like Luck By Chance, Karthik Calling Karthik, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Dil Dhadakne Do and Wazir. He made his Hollywood debut with Bride and Prejudice. For Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, he won the award for Best Supporting Actor and for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, he received the Filmfare award for Best Actor. He got married to Shibani Dandekar. He was one of the judges for pageant Femina Miss India in 2002.
