FIR filed in 2021 case of death during argument in Delhi
An FIR has been registered a year-and-a-half after an Indian Army officer, Amar Pal Singh, died during an argument with a cab driver over the fare in New Delhi. Singh's wife alleges that the driver wrongfully confined them in the car and threatened them with harm if they exited without paying. Singh began experiencing chest pains and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital. The driver reportedly fled the scene after receiving his fare. The case has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 384, 342, and 506.

25% fare concession in Mumbai Metro
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a 25% fare concession for citizens above 65, students up to Class 12, and persons with disabilities on Mumbai's MMRDA-owned metros from 1 May. The benefit can be availed through the Mumbai One card for 45 or 60 trips, and requires valid documentation to be furnished at any metro station counter. The concession applies to new and previously purchased Mumbai One cards, and aims to encourage greater ridership among the targeted groups.
