Ozone emerges as lead air pollutant in Delhi

Experts said that while ozone levels remain fairly high throughout the year, its concentration starts to rise from March onwards.

Meanwhile, PM 2.5 and PM 10 emerged as the prominent pollutants on days when the 24-hour average AQI was high, for instance on April 3, when it was 179 (moderate), or March 24, when it was 205 (poor). (ANI)

In 2019, average PM2.5 level in Delhi thrice the safe limit, finds study

The study also found Delhi’s urban areas were more polluted than its semi-urban and rural locations, though the difference was only marginal.

PM2.5 levels in the Capital in 2019 ranged between 80µg/m3and 130µg/m3 seasonally, as against a safe limit of 40µg/m3. (HT)
