Sultanpuri hit-and-drag case: Delhi court extends custody of accused by 14 days

The court extended the judicial custody of Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun and Manoj Mittal till February 6. They were produced before the court on the expiry of their judicial custody granted earlier.

In the early hours of New Year’s Day, a Maruti Suzuki Baleno car hit 20-year-old Anjali Kumari when she was on her way home on her scooter. Anjali’s leg got stuck on the underside of the car, and she was dragged for nearly three hours on a stretch of over 14 kilometres.

Book accused for murder, suspend PCR staff: MHA to Delhi cops on Sultanpuri case

The home ministry also directed the police to suspend personnel deployed in the police control room (PCR) vans that were patrolling the area for allegedly responding late to several distress calls made by witnesses of the accident.
