7.5-acre botanical garden in Bathinda soon

The proposed botanical garden in the city will be the first in Punjab to be developed by a local body: MC supdt engineer

It will showcase northwest India’s rare, threatened and endangered native plants such as ‘jand’, ‘guggal’, ‘khimp’ or ‘khip’, buffel grass and roheda. Special zones will be created as pollinator garden, aroma and moss parks. (AFP)

Chandigarh admn slams brakes on PGI to Sarangpur flyover project

Proposed in 2020, the 1.75-km flyover, including a 1.3-km elevated stretch, was to come up at a cost of around ₹90 crore; the planned width of the flyover is around 19.1 metres and the carriageway width will be 17.5 metres

DMRC begins boring tunnels at Vikaspuri for Metro Phase-4 corridor

“As part of the tunnelling drive, two tunnels (for up and down movement) of a length of 1.4km will be bored between Vikaspuri and Krishna Park Extension,” the DMRC said in a statement.

As part of the Phase 4 work approved so far, about 27km of underground tracks will be constructed. The Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg corridor will have underground sections running for a length of 7.74km in total.(PTI file photo)

DMRC fines 2,214 passengers in 9 days for not wearing masks

According to DMRC data, from September 11 — when the rail corporation started imposing fines for mask violations — till September 20, at least 2,214 commuters had been fined for not wearing masks.

Services on DMRC’s Magenta Line remain suspended for over 4 hours in Delhi

The Metro said that services were not available between Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj stations and to ferry the stranded passengers, the DMRC roped in feeder buses.
