PEC adopts UGC regulations on governing body nomenclature
Under the new system, the institute’s apex body, earlier called senate, will be called “academic council” and the board of governors will now be called “executive council”. These changes had more to do with nomenclature of the bodies and will not alter their functioning much except for a few small changes

IIT BHU’s 12th convocation: 106 meritorious students awarded gold medals
1,660 students received degrees at the 12th convocation ceremony of IIT-BHU, Varanasi. Divyansh Chandra Roy received 5 gold medals and the President's Gold Medal. Dr Sameer V Kamat, chairman of DRDO, awarded the medals and prizes. 9 alumni were also honored with awards.

he petitioners were among 100 employees, who have been waiting for their salaries for the last 41 months as the institute is facing a severe financial crisis. Employees of the institute had filed writ petitions complaining about non-payment of their salary since December 2019.
