Mumbai court grants bail to Kerala CPI (M) leader’s son charged with rape

The Sessions court in Dindoshi directed him to appear before the investigating officer on every Monday and asked him to pay a security deposit of ₹25,000. The court also said if the police seek a DNA test to prove paternity he will have to co-operate with them.

Binoy Kodiyeri was booked for rape under Section 376 and breach of trust and cheating under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).However, Binoy denied the allegations and said that it was a blackmailing tactic.(FACEBOOK.)

‘No one tried to settle rape allegation against son’, says Kerala CPI(M) leader

Two Mumbai Police personnel, along with local police, had visited Binoy Kodiyeri’s ancestral home at Thiruvangad in Kannur district of Kerala with a notice asking him to appear within 72 hours before the investigating officers probing the case.
