4 nabbed for 2crore Ashok Vihar dacoity in Delhi

The arrests came after searches and raids at over 50 places across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, said officers involved in the hunt

On May 7, five masked men broke into businessman Anuj Goyal’s house in Ashok Vihar in northwest Delhi early that morning. Armed with three guns and a knife, the men first held his father at gunpoint, and then shut the rest of the family in a room. The five men beat Goyal with a cricket bat during the robbery. They robbed the house of <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1.3 crore cash and jewellery worth <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1 crore. 1.3cr cash robbed from northwest Delhi home

Police said the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday while businessman Anuj Goyal was sleeping in his house with his parents, wife, sister and their children

Delhi Development Agency conducts draw of lots for Jailorwala Bagh flats

Officials said that 1,675 EWS flats of 400 square feet area are likely to be ready for possession by the end of July, at a total cost of ₹421.81 crore

The eligible families will have to pay <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1,71,000, which includes <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1,41,000 as beneficiary contribution of the flat and <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>30,000 as maintenance charge for five years. Bajghera underpass to open on June 15, overbridge incomplete

After Bajghera crossing was blocked for traffic, the residents of Palam Vihar, New Palam Vihar, Ashok Vihar, sectors 99-115 and several other nearby areas only had the option of using the Daulatabad flyover and the manually managed Chauma railway crossing, both of which happen to be highly congested.
