The Ashes series 2025-26 will kickstart in Perth from November 21 onwards. Currently, the Ashes urn is with England following a 2-2 draw in the UK. England has not won a Test in Australia since 2011, when they last won the series. They had lost all two previous series in Australia by 4-0 and faced a whitewash in 2013. They have not held the prestigious urn at home either, drawing the series in 2019 and 2023.
England will miss the services of right-arm seamer Kate Cross or the one-off Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), while two important Australian players make a comeback in the squad in order to seek a series whitewash, as per the ICC official website.
Brook is one of the newest faces of world cricket, having made a name for himself with some impactful knocks across all formats. Tests are Brook's best format so far and he would be looking to make an impact in the Ashes series against Australia away from home later this year.
