Delhi HC order on plea of CBI special director Rakesh Asthana for quashing FIR on Friday

The case was lodged against Rakesh Asthana and Devender Kumar on the complaint of a Hyderabad based businessman Sana Satish Babu who contended that the duo demanded a bribe to do away with the case against him.

PM-led panel discusses probe report against CBI boss, to meet again on Thursday

Senior Supreme Court judge, Justice AK Sikri is set to be part of the Selection Committee to decide on the case of CBI director Alok Kumar Verma.

The Supreme Court had conditionally reinstated Alok Verma as the CBI chief a day earlier, months after the government divested him of the duties of the director following an internal feud with his deputy Rakesh Asthana in the agency.(PTI)

Centre begins hunt for new CBI chief as probe continues against agency boss
