Many celebrities were seen participating in a unique gesture to thank those at the frontlines in the battle against Covid-19. Bollywood personalities collected at their balconies and rooftops to clap for doctors and sanitation workers trying to stem the spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus. Amitabh Bachchan, along with his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were seen clapping enthusiastically. Actors Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, and Kangana Ranaut did the same. India has reported over 365 cases of Coronavirus infection so far.

His call for greater 'social distancing' was supported by many celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Twinkle Khanna, Virat Kohli, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn. Meanwhile, in Punjab, a 70-year-old with underlying medical conditions died due to Covid-19. Another Indian national, who had been infected, passed away in Iran. Akshay Kumar at HT GIFA: ‘I had 14 flops, thought my career was over’
At the launch of 5th edition of HT's Great Indian Football Action (HT GIFA), Akshay Kumar spoke about the discipline he learnt as a martial arts expert which left him in good stead when facing 14 consecutive flops in Bollywood. Awaiting the release of Housefull 4, after the success of Mission Mangal, Akshay says there was a time when he thought his career was over. However, the actor says that the learning of those dark days is what helped him become successful eventually. He also spoke about Housefull 4, and joked that he will lose all the respect that he has earned with his serious films.
