Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday shared a picture of a roadside tailor who had pasted Paytm QR codes into his sewing machine on social media, drawing attention to the wide acceptability of digital payments in India. "It is a typical sight across India...our people have demonstrated great dexterity in adapting to tech and innovation," he wrote in the retweet.

A Twitter user has earlier shared the picture of tailor from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh accepting payments from Paytm. Along with the picture, he wrote, “You have to be in Bharat to understand the scale of this transformation brought about by the policies of Narendra Modi government.”
Netizens were quick to comment on the post, praising the widespread availability of digital payments, particularly UPI-based transactions. “UPI has brought a revolution in the lives of common Indian citizens. Digital India in true sense,” a tweeter user commented. “Digital payments are a way of life in India now - for the smallest of transactions in the remotest of places. It's transformed lives and made things easier,” another user responded.
Paytm founder Vijay Shekar Sharma also agreed with the post. “Absolutely sir! Pride of our India is acceptance and embracing technology by every citizen in country. Thank you for championing and guiding the change,” he wrote.
