Vijay Antony and Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi team up for Kaali
Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi and Vijay Antony are set to team up for their next film.
Following her successful debut in Vanakkam Chennai - a colorful rom-com featuring Mirchi Shiva and Priya Anand - Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi was supposed to work on a heartwarming travel movie with Simbu. But, the project got shelved for reasons best known to the team. Now, she’s all set to direct her sophomore project with music composer-turned-actor Vijay Antony.
Titled Kaali, the movie will be produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation. “Vijay Antony has a challenging role in Kaali, unlike all his previous career choices. It will be an interesting project for him in terms of acting,” informs a source to Hindustan Times.
Vijay Antony will next start shooting for Annadurai with debutant director Srinivasan, a former assistant of Suseenthiran. The project will be jointly produced by R. Sarath Kumar and Radikaa Sarath Kumar under their banner I Pictures. Kaali will see the light of day after Annadurai, confirmed Vijay Antony on his Twitter page.
Both projects are currently in the pre-production stage. The lead heroine, supporting cast and crew for both films are yet to be finalized. An official announcement is expected from the team in a week or two.
