Pune’s guardian minister Girish Bapat at a meeting with government agencies and Hinjewadi Industries Association assigned the Pune collector as nodal officer for all IT park issues
In a meeting between Girish Bapat, guardian minister of Pune and heads of various government departments the district collector of Pune, Saurabh Rao, was designated as the nodal officer for Hinjewadi IT park.

The meeting was organised to get first-hand feedback from Hinjewadi Industries Association (HIA), about the state of infrastructure and other difficulties faced by employees at RGIP. Issues like solid waste management, infrastructure and traffic jam were discussed.
The minister interacted with various departments vested with the responsibility of RGIP Hinjewadi. Apart from Rao, CEO PMRDA Kiran Gitte and police authorities of both Traffic and Zone-3 were present.
HIA was represented by their President Anil Patwardhan and representatives of major IT companies including TCS, Infosys and Wipro.
Bapat committed to draw a time-bound programme to solve all the problems of the IT park.
Bapat assured a bi-monthly review with all departments and has asked that the next meeting be held in September 2017.
