19-year-old dies after being hit by speeding car
In another incident, a 31-year-old died after a speeding luxury bus rammed into his motorcycle at the flyover near Sion hospital on Saturday morning
A 19-year-old Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery student was grievously injured in Tardeo on Friday afternoon after being hit by a speeding car. He succumbed to his injuries on Sunday at a private hospital.

The Tardeo police said the victim, Samadhan Kamble, is a resident of BDD chawl in Worli. He was the youngest of his siblings - all sisters. He stayed with his mother and retired father.
The incident occurred around 2.30 pm on Lala Lajpatrai Road near Lala College in Tardeo. Kamble was hit by a Hyundai Verna car driven by a 19-year-old, who was later arrested.
“The accused jumped the signal. That is how the accident took place. We want motorists and pedestrians to be more careful. Kamble’s death is a huge loss to his family,” said a friend of the family.
In another incident, a 31-year-old died after a speeding luxury bus rammed into his motorcycle at the flyover near Sion hospital on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road on Saturday morning. According to the police, the victim, Pratap Parihar, 31, was trapped under the wheels of the bus. He was severely hurt and later succumbed to his injuries. The police arrested the bus driver.
In another case, a 56-year-old woman was injured after being hit by an Alto car on December 6 around 9.30 am. She succumbed to her injuries at Sion Hospital on Saturday. The victim, Shantabai Sasane, was crossing the road near Lijat Papad Company in Govandi, when the car hit her. The driver was arrested and a case was registered against him for negligence.
