The entrepreneurs who wish to start their venture do not require to step out of their office or to do the rounds of various government departments, including LESA, LMC, Fire Control, Trade Tax, Pollution Control etc to get their clearance certificate.
Indian Industries’ Association along with Udyog Bandhu has developed a web-enabled software for the entrepreneurs to simplify the task of setting an industrial unit.
The only fundamental rule is that the entrepreneur should be computer savvy.
He could register his company on his personal computer or in a cyber café, visit the website, download the application form and forward the filled up application to district industrial centre office.
The Indian Industries’ Association (IIA) has developed the software. Executive Director IIA DS Verma says the State Government has already launched the ‘single table system under one roof’ to make the task of establishing a unit simpler.
Still the entrepreneurs had to do lots of paper work to establish their unit.
During the review of the single table system it the entrepreneurs drew attention of the industry department officers toward the manual work they have to do to set up a unit.
In the meeting it was decided to develop a website to enable the entrepreneurs to set up industrial unit on the computer. IIA designed and prepared the feature of the website. The officials and administrators would implement the computerized method.
Verma informed that trial run of the website was being carried out by Lucknow Industrial Development Center. After completing the successful trial of the Website State Industrial Department has planned to go for the statewide launch he said.
A meeting of the officials of various departments and representatives of business organizations was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ramendra Tripathi on June 8.
In the meeting Tripathi assured the entrepreneurs that website would be launched within 30 days. During trial run the entrepreneurs could lodge their complaint and give suggestion for the improvement of the website. An awareness and training programme would be organised by DIC for the entrepreneurs to use the website, Tripathi said.
