This is AMMARAZIZ speak: “Cut your nails on Friday for good luck and prosperity and hair on Monday. A girl who leaves her house (vidai) after marriage on the same day that she was born brings bad luck to her parent’s place. Never go in for an operation on Tuesday or Saturday though traveling on a Saturday is considered auspicious.”

He then throws a challenge: “Jis kisi ki bhi shaadi nahi ho rahi ho, hamse mile. Mera challenge hai uske baad uski shaadi rukk nahi sakti.” (Are you facing a similar problem? Sh…Sh..Ammaraziz is in town and you can get in touch with him.
Try it). He adds, “a husband and wife whose name is mismatch would always find difficulties coming in their way. So, ideally consult before finalising the marriage. My mission is to end the practice of talaq/divorce.”
Now the obvious question: Ammaraziz who?
Well, several years back Ammaraziz who studied at Lucknow Christian College (LCC) in 1983-84 was known as Syed Afaq Hussain. The man used to zoom around town in his BLD 69, a Fiat, was a martial arts expert and very fond of branded wear.
Syed Afaq Hussain was very good in studies. Yet, he always found that somehow or the other he was never able to succeed. “I stood second in the Bihar Public Service Commission exam.” But, on the day of the interview, he was running high fever and hence, missed the golden opportunity. He cleared his Combined Defence Services (CDS) but discovered that he was overage by a day by the time his interview call came. Syed Afaq was disturbed. Just then he heard that a person who specialised in names had come to town. Syed Afaq went to see him so did his close friend Munna.
“While the nameologist told me about my past correctly on the basis of my name and date of birth, yet there was nothing that he could tell about Munna for he wasn’t sure about his birth date,” Ammaraziz recalls.
It was then, that he started pursuing the art of telling people about their past and future on the basis of their names. “After acquiring the knowledge I myself changed my name from Syed Afaq Hussain to Ammaraziz. What’s more, I found out that the knowledge that I had acquired could be immensely useful to those like Munna who didn’t know their date of birth,” he told HT WE. Ammaraziz who is now based in Mumbai and has among his clients several top names of Mumbai film industry, cricket stars etc says, “I just want to make the lives of people better with my knowledge.”
What are the most important aspects that are to be considered in a name?
“Three,” he says. The first is the ‘Huroof ki chaal or the alphabetical order of a name. For instance, names Ahmad Hasan and Hasan Ahmad might have entirely different implications in life. The second is the Arabic calculation and the third is the matching of the person’s name with his/her mother.
And before one starts wondering what this man actually is, he speaks, “I am neither a tantrik, a priest or a maulvi. I am a scientist who relies on sound energy.” And while there are several nameologist who rely on sound energy, Ammaraziz claims that he has specialised in matching-names for marriage. “Even in a mismatch combination, if people contact me in the early years of their marriage my suggestion and cure would improve their lives significantly.” He says, “50 per cent asar us naam ka hota hain jis naam se nikaah/panigrahan samskara hua ho aur baki us naam ka hota hai jis naam se vyakti ko bulaya jata hai.”
An expert shooter, a good poet, Ammaraziz has already drawn a list of names that he says are unfavourable. “Girish, for instance, is not a good name. The person with this name is likely to have skin problem or some other lingering, incurable disease,” he explains.
Throughout the day he is busy studying names. And at night, he says, he prays. “Throughout the day people meet me with their worries, their concerns. I get rid of all the negative energy that I have accumulated later in the night. I pray to cleanse my soul and better the lives of others.”
He adds, “In case one goes in for a name change, it would take sometime for the new name to take its effect. In the case of celebrities the process is faster for several thousand people take their names daily. To let a name take its full effect, it should have been spoken at least 10,000 times. And yes, the name with which a person’s mother refers to the individual has an effect 500 times more powerful than any other person. So make sure that the name with which your mother calls you is favourable!”
