"We have made it clear that the state of relationship will reflect the state of the border. You can't have a tense, high-friction border and have great relations in all other parts of life. It doesn't work that way. It is inevitable that this will spill over and it has in other domains," said the Union minister.

In another session of the third day, former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra said on Thursday that the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic changed the way people used to go about their life. “In the emerging world order, the significance of alternative dispute resolution mechanism has risen and Covid-19 pandemic has enabled the disputants to take a course to online dispute resolution system. The present pandemic conditions have brought in private dispute resolution centres and the world have embraced technology-based approach," he said.

The Hindustan Times Leadership Summit was launched in 2003 to enhance the level of discourse on critical issues, encourage interaction among leaders in important areas and present international quality thought- platforms aimed at solutions. The last 18 Summits have been outstanding successes with attendance by leaders from India and across the world. The audience comprises senior politicians, bureaucrats, diplomats, business executives, thinkers, commentators and analysts. Over the years, the Summit has become one of India’s most prestigious and eagerly awaited fora.
