Chitrangada stepped out in Mumbai on Thursday wearing a green-and-white checked dress, quite similar to the Rosie Assoulin plaid dress actor Anushka Sharma wore in April. Unfortunately, if the $1,795 ( ₹1,19,286) price tag stopped you from even thinking about getting the belted A-line summer dress, here’s good news.

You’re in luck as Chitrangada’s similar-looking printed dress comes with a more real-people price and can be grabbed online at Zara’s website.

The ultra-feminine piece is the ideal summer staple — the kind that goes effortlessly from office to drinks. And thanks to the classic A-line silhouette with a wide gathered ruffle along the hem, it flatters just about every shape. The straight-cut neckline, contrasting buttons in the front and straps that tie with a bow are cute additions too.

Add to that an under- ₹5,000 (£39) price tag, and we’re hard-pressed to find one negative thing to say about it — except that we wish it came in other colours, because we would obviously buy them all.
