Tripura assembly elections: 259 candidates in fray with BJP fielding 55, CPM 43

In the party-wise break up, BJP has 55 candidates, followed by CPM (43), TIPRA Motha (42), Trinamool Congress ( 28), Congress (13), BJP’s ally IPFT (6) & CPI, RSP, Forward Bloc (1 each)

Tripura to vote in single phase on Feb 16, results on March 2 | Full schedule

The results will be declared on March 2, along with that of Meghalaya and Nagaland assembly polls. The term of Tripura's legislative assembly is due to expire end on March 22 this year.
