BJP member files a complaint against CM
Rajesh Kumar, the convener of the legal cell of BJP’s Purvanchal Morcha, filed the complaint with additional chief metropolitan magistrate, Samar Vishal, on Friday through his counsel Saurabh Kansal.
A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member filed a defamation complaint against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for tweeting “objectionable” content about BJP leaders.

Rajesh Kumar, the convener of the legal cell of BJP’s Purvanchal Morcha, filed the complaint with additional chief metropolitan magistrate, Samar Vishal, on Friday through his counsel Saurabh Kansal. The court has listed the matter for hearing on May 16.
Kumar said that he was referring to a tweet by Kejriwal on September 30, 2018. “Mr Kejriwal has successfully dented the reputation of the complainant, in particular, and his party,” Kumar said in his complaint.
“The tweet published by accused (Kejriwal) was intended to infuriate the sentiments of Hindu community and deliberately create ill will and hatred among masses, apart from an attempt to create a rift between the BJP and the Hindu community,” the plea read.
A media advisor to the CM said, “There have been numerous defamation cases against CM Kejriwal. Many of them fell flat in court. So, this is nothing new and will be dealt with under the usual procedures,” the official said.
