India opener KL Rahul has admitted that his chances of playing in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in June are slim due to the shoulder injury he suffered during the four-match Test series against Australia. (IPL 2017 FULL COVERAGE)
KL Rahul, who is not featuring in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to the injury, had sustained the injury in the opening Test in Pune, but played through pain in the remaining matches, playing a key role in India’s 2-1 win.
“I will just have to wait and see but the chances are very, very slim,” he was quoted as saying by Times of India.

“They said it will take anywhere close to 2 to 3 months. But again, it depends, each body is different, you don’t know how the body recovers. It is totally up to me and how I well I take care of myself in the rehab phase.
“For now, it is just 2-3 weeks of relaxing and not doing anything and after that maybe I will start physiotherapy and my rehab phase will start from there,” KL Rahul added.
The ICC Champions Trophy starts in England from June 1.
