India vs Australia Highlights, 2nd Test Day 3: IND beat AUS by six wickets, go 2-0 up in Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Virat Kohli steps down the track and tries to block the ball, however, it beats him and gives Alex Carey an easy stumping opportunity, who makes no mistake. Kohli departs for 20 as Todd Murphy strikes. IND: 69/3 (need 46 runs to win)

A couple of maiden overs by Todd Murphy and Nathan Lyon, but India won't mind that. The hosts are well in control and need another 46 runs to wrap up the proceedings.

Kohli is taking the attack on Nathan Lyon as he hits the spinner for another four. Five runs come off the over as IND move to 69/2.

Kohli hits Nathan Lyon for a gorgeous boundary, and then combines with Pujara to add three runs in the following over by Todd Murphy. IND: 59/2 (need 56 runs to win)

Pujara and Kohli combine to get three runs off Todd Murphy's over as India reach 50/2. The hosts now need 65 runs to win.

Cheteshwar Pujara hits Nathan Lyon for a boundary towards the long-on region. Five runs come off the over as IND reach 47/2.

Nathan Lyon bowls a maiden over and Kuhnemann follows it up with a three-run over. IND: 42/2 (need 73 runs to win)

Rohit Sharma steps down the track and hits Matt Kuhnemann straight over his head for another maximum. 

He then passes the strikes to Pujara, who thinks there was a double. Even Rohit looked for a possible double, but there's a mix-up as the Indian captain realises that it's unnecessary risk midway during the run. He is run-out for 31.

Cheteshwar Pujara dances down the track and converts a pitched up delivery by Kuhnemann to a fulltoss. He whacks it past the mid-on fielder for a four.

We are back. Matt Kuhnemann will resume the proceedings against Rohit Sharma. 

Slightly short by Nathan Lyon as Pujara hits it towards the square leg region for a single. Rohit also takes a single.

And that will also be Lunch on Day 3 as IND reach 14/1 and need 101 runs to win. 

Rohit Sharma takes a double and then hits Matt Kuhnemann for a boundary towards the mid-wicket region. Six runs come off the over. IND: 12/1 

KL Rahul departs for 1, but what a way to get out. His shot takes a deflection off the short-leg fielder, before it is collected by the wicketkeeper. India lose their 1st wicket in the 115-run chase. IND: 6/1

Jadeja finishes the job for India as the Australian second innings is wrapped for 113. They resumed the day from the overnight score of 61/1 and lost nine wickets for 52. 

Jadeja finishes the innings with seven wickets, while Ashwin scalps three. 

India need 115 to win.

Ravindra Jadeja scalps another wicket and this time he cleans up Nathan Lyon. He departs for 8 as Australia go 9 down with 113 on the board. The tourists have a lead of 114 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja picks his fifth wicket as Alex Carey once again attempts a reverse sweep, but doesn't make any connection. The ball hits the leg stump as Carey departs for 7. AUS: 110/8 (lead by 111 runs)

Alex Carey keeps thing moving, as he along with Lyon gathers two runs from Jadeja's over. 

He then hits Ashwin over mid-off for a boundary. AUS: 110/7 (lead by 111 runs)

Six runs come in the over bowled by Ashwin as Australia edge past the 100-run mark. AUS: 101/7 (lead by 102 runs)

Another one bites the dust. Jadeja cleans up AUS captain Pat Cummins for golden duck. AUS: 95/7 (lead by 96 runs)

The Australian batters are failing to handle the Indian tweakers. Ravindra Jadeja picks his third wicket of the innings as Peter Handscomb is caught at slips by Virat Kohli for duck. 

AUS go 6 down with just 95 on the board. They have a lead of 96 runs.

R Ashwin is on a roll as he picks his third wicket. Matt Renshaw, the concussion substitute for Warner, departs for 2. The batter attempted a sweep but didn't get any connection. He opted for a review but TV replay confirms that it was clear out. AUS: 95/5 (lead by 96 runs)

Ravindra Jadeja joins the party as he cleans up Marnuso Labuschagne for 35. The ball kept low and it takes the bottom edge before knocking the middle and off stump. AUS: 95/4 (lead by 96 runs)

Labuschagne have kept the scoreboard ticking as eight runs come in the last two overs. AUS: 93/3 (lead by 94 runs)

R Ashwin strikes as Steve Smith is trapped LBW for 9. He opts for a review and TV replay confirms that there was no bat involved and the ball was kissing the leg stump. Just like Kohli, the third umpire directs the on-field umpire to stick to his decision, which leaves Smith disappointed. AUS: 85/3 (lead by 86 runs)

Steve Smith joins the party and hits Jadeja for a boundary. Six runs come off the over. AUS: 84/2 (lead by 85 runs)

Jadeja concedes just one run in his over. 

Ashwin, who is leading India's attack from the other end, is hit for a four by Labuschagne, wide of backward point.

The boundary is followed by two LBW appeal against the batter, out of which India opt for a review in the second. 

Labuschagne went for the paddle sweep but doesn't make any connection as the ball hits the thigh of his back leg. TV replay confirmed that the impact was outside the line so India lose their review. AUS: 78/2 (lead by 79 runs)

Marnus Labuschagne hits Ashwin for a boundary towards the fine leg region as five runs come off his over. AUS: 72/2 (lead by 73 runs)

Ravindra Jadeja will lead India's attack from the other end. Meanwhile, Steve Smith has joined Marnus Labuschagne in the middle. 

Jadeja starts with a one-run over. AUS: 66/2 (lead by 67 runs) 

Travis Head hits Ashwin for a boundary in the third ball as the batter drives it towards covers. Elegant shot, will give Head a lot of confidence. 

However, Head is caught behind in the next ball as he departs for 43. Just the start India were looking for. AUS: 65/2 (lead by 66 runs)  

Ashwin leads the Indian attack on Day 3 as Travis Head is on strike. He starts with two dots.

We are minutes away from the action resuming on Day 3, which is expected to be a cracker. The local fans will hope for a dominant performance from India but Australia being the number one ranked Test side will hope to live up to its reputation. 

Travis Head walked out to open the Australian second innings in place of David Warner, who has been ruled out of the contest due to concussion. 

Matt Renshaw is his concussion substitute.

The morning session will be crucial for both the sides as the match looks balanced at the moment. Australia have a lead of 62 runs and will look to add at least another 200 to make things difficult for the hosts. 

262 sounds like a small target but it'll be monstrous on this Kotla track, which have assisted the spinners.

India, on the other hand, will hope to pack Australia as early as possible.

It was almost a full house on Saturday, and something similar will be expected on Sunday. It is slightly cloudy at the moment, but the conditions will get better as the day proceeds.
