#JusticeForSidhuMoosewala echoes in Gurugram’s streets
The march, initiated by singer-rapper Fazilpuria, saw him carrying Moosewala’s photo and lighting a candle, along with his ardent fans.
Over 200 fans of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala marched from Gurugram’s Nehru Stadium to Civil Lines zone hall on Sunday, shouting slogans and carrying placards that demanded #JusticeForSidhuMoosewala. The march, initiated by singer-rapper Fazilpuria, saw him carrying Moosewala’s photo and lighting a candle, along with his ardent fans. “Sidhu ji ko justice milna chahiye. Jitne bhi Punjab ke artists hain woh abhi ikattha nahin hue, na koi saamne aake bol raha hai. Yahi time hai ki sabko saath bolna chahiye,” said Fazilpuria.

“Jab tak justice nah mile kaam nahin karna chahiye, gaane ya album launch na karein. Justice nahin milega toh Delhi, Punjab mein bhi [candle march] karenge. Social media ke saath saath road pe aake awaaz uthane ka [time] hai. Chahe video banaye ya ikatthe ho... sirf hashtag se justice nahin milega,” he added.
Gunveen Singh, an MNC professional from the millennium city who was part of the march, said, “I am here to show my support. I hope and pray that the late singer gets justice.” Supreet Kaur, a Gurugram-based designer, shared, “I was a big fan of him. The lyrics of his songs really touched me... Itni sachchai thi unki baaton mein. It was heartbreaking to see the news of his death. Yeh hona nahin chahiye tha. He should definitely get justice.”
