Infosys issues offer letters to more than 1,000 freshers after 2.5 years' delay
IT union NITES reveals Infosys issued 1,000+ offer letters to 2022 campus hires for System Engineer roles, joining in October 2024.
Infosys issued over 1,000 offer letters from the 2022 campus hires after a delay of over 2.5 years, IT employee union Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), said. The roles offered by the company are for System Engineers with the date of joining being October 7, 2024. These software engineers were initially offered roles at Infosys in 2022.

This comes after Infosys CEO Salil Parekh indicated that offers given to freshers would be completed by the company and followed with joining.
"Every offer that we have given, that offer will be someone who will join the company. We changed some dates but beyond that everyone will join Infosys and there is no change in that approach," he said.

Harpreet Singh Saluja, president, NITES, said, “These young engineers, who have been waiting for nearly two years, now have a confirmed joining date of October 7, 2024. This is a huge win for NITES and all the students who stood strong in the face of uncertainty and delay. However, we remain vigilant... if Infosys fails to honour this commitment and breaches the joining date, we will not hesitate to organise a protest right in front of the Infosys office."
