Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi trailer takes Sonakshi Sinha to China and it is a hilarious journey. Watch here

After teasing us with laugh-out-loud dialogue promos and motion poster, the makers of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi have finally revealed the trailer of the film, and its 2.45-minute of sheer fun. It begins with a new Happy, Sonakshi Sinha, who has been abducted by Chinese agents. She is taken to China where foreign agents are not convinced about her real identity. So, they also abduct others -- Jimmy Shergill, Piyush Mishra and Jassi Gill -- to find out who she really is. Jimmy will be reprising his character of Daman Singh Bagga while Piyush will be seen as a Pakistani cop who loves poetry.

Now, there is a love triangle among Jimmy, Sonakshi and Jassi but where is the original Happy (Diana Penty) in all this? We also see Happy Bhag Jayegi’s Guddu, Ali Fazal, in the melee.

The closing moment of the trailer shows Diana at a protest site and Ali Fazal is also with her. In short, all the primary characters of the original film that released in 2016 are back except Abhay Deol. However, there is a possibility that he has a cameo in the film.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Happy Phirr Bhay Jayegi was one of the unexpected hits of 2016. It was liked by the audiences and the critics for its quirky comedy set in Amritsar.

Sonakshi will also drive a truck in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. In an earlier interview, she talked about her role, “I do have some practice driving manual cars but this mini truck was no cake walk. It was a very old and heavy vehicle and because it was manual, the steering and gears were extremely tiresome and required a lot of strength to manoeuvre. Since it was a chase sequence, I had to accelerate the speed but with enough skill to guide my course safely on the roads. Having to burn rubber with that massive beast was quite the challenge but when we got it, the feeling was incredible.”

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is all set to hit the screens on August 24, 2018.
