Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has an army of actors including Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergill.

Before the trailer of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi drops, the makers have revealed a motion poster that has Sonakshi Sinha unveiling three other actors from the film. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted the motion poster. In this poster, Sonakshi opens a wooden momo container and three actors come out of it. These are Jimmy Shergill, Piyush Mishra and Jassi Gill.

Sonakshi Sinha is a new addition in Happy Bhag Jayegi franchise.

The makers have also released some dialogue promos that suggest that somebody named Happy is on the run. However, it’s not sure whether they are talking about Diana Penty, who played Happy in the first film, or Sonakshi, who is going to be seen in the sequel.

One of the promos show Jimmy Shergill preparing for a wedding, presumably his own, when one of his men brings the news.

The film, directed by Muddassar Aziz, also features Diana Penty, Abhay Deol and Ali Fazal in important roles. Diana was the lead in the original, Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016). It was the sleeper hit of the year.

Happy Bhag Jayegi starred Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles. The film received positive reviews and made a decent impact at the box office. Made at an estimated budget of 20 crore, the film collected 28.19 crore at the domestic ticket windows.

The film traced the story of Happy (Diana) who flees from her own marriage in Amritsar and lands up in Lahore, Pakistan.

In Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, Sonakshi is playing a truck driver. Talking about the role, she said in an earlier interview, “I do have some practice driving manual cars but this mini truck was no cake walk. It was a very old and heavy vehicle and because it was manual, the steering and gears were extremely tiresome and required a lot of strength to manoeuvre. Since it was a chase sequence, I had to accelerate the speed but with enough skill to guide my course safely on the roads. Having to burn rubber with that massive beast was quite the challenge but when we got it, the feeling was incredible.”

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi will hit the screens on August 24, 2018.
