Hostel of government girls school in Budhlada lacks security

The hostel of the government girls school in Budhlada, which houses around 100 girls, lacks arrangements for the security of the hostlers. An investigation carried out by the HT found that the school doesn't have any record of the visitors nor there are any fixed visiting hours for parents of the students and others in the hostel. It was found that post-sunset, the main gate of the school remains open and strangers have easy access to the premises.

No official check on sale of firecrackers in Mansa

The sellers of firecrackers in the city have ignored all the rules and warnings issued by the district administration. The administration had issued a circular on October 10 stating that the sale, purchase and bursting of crackers should be held in specified areas only. The woman, a resident of Budhlada sub division,had earlier complained to SSP Bhupinder Singh Khattara regarding the same.
