A spokesman of Scotland Yard said, “The four were arrested on Thursday evening in connection with the conspiracy to murder Brar. They are currently being questioned at a police station in central London.”
He said a 33-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arrested at a residential address in Wolverhampton. Another 34-year-old man was arrested after being stopped in a car in West Bromwich, while a 25-year-old man was later arrested in the same circumstances.
The arrests came as Hugo Swire, Britain’s new foreign office minister with charge of India, condemned the attack on Brar as “unacceptable and despicable.” “We were all shocked to hear on the attempt on his life,” Swire told an India-UK meeting at the International Institute of Strategic Studies.
