Who was Tiru Chabba? Aramark executive identified as second FSU shooting victim
Tiru Chabba has been identified as the second victim in the FSU shooting. He was the regional vice president of Aramark Collegiate Hospitality.
Tiru Chabba, regional vice president of Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, has been identified as the second victim in the Florida State University shooting, according to the Daily Mail. The 45-year-old was fatally shot on the FSU campus in Tallahassee by 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner. The other victim in the tragedy was Robert Morales, a dining coordinator at the university.
Chabba, a resident of Greenville, South Carolina, is survived by his wife and two children, according to attorneys representing his family, NBC Miami reported.
"Tiru Chabba's family is going through the unimaginable now," attorney Bakari Sellers said in a statement. “Instead of hiding Easter eggs and visiting with friends and family, they’re living a nightmare where this loving father and devoted husband was stolen from them in an act of senseless and preventable violence.”
Sellers said Aramark Collegiate Hospitality wants to "ensure that all those who bear responsibility for this senseless act of violence are held to account."
“We ask you to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as we fight to ensure they see justice that honors the memories of Mr. Chabba and all the victims of Thursday’s shooting," Sellers' statement read.
