The minute-long video, shared by a twitter user Anand Panna, shows a man dressed in sportswear, energetically playing the match, dodging and smashing the shuttle coming his way. The whole incident was captured by the CCTV installed at the badminton complex.
The incident took place on January 2 when the man, 38, a native of Kerala, was playing badminton with his friends. Amid the match, the man suddenly collapsed on the court and his friends rushed to help him, Times of Oman reported.
The man suffered a cardiac arrest, the report added.
The name of the man has not been revealed. He is survived by his wife and two children. He was fond of sports and used to play in the domestic cricket league, the report said.
In the past few months, several incidents of people collapsing, and sudden deaths have surfaced on social media. One of the clips showed a gym trainer resting on a chair suddenly losing consciousness while talking to people in Ghaziabad. Another video showed a man dancing at a family function suddenly collapsed, leaving his family in shock.
