Why Nepal wants India to stop recruiting Gorkha soldiers in Army under Agnipath

- Nepal has reportedly told India to suspend the recruitment of Gorkha soldiers in the Indian Army under the new Agnipath scheme. As per reports, Nepal's foreign minister conveyed the request to India's ambassador to Nepal in a meeting. The reports came as the Ministry of External Affairs said that India would continue recruiting Gorkha Agniveers in the Indian Army. Reportedly, the month-long recruitment process was to begin today and conclude on September 29 at different centres across Nepal.
