Defence Minister Rajnath Singh interacted with soldiers during his 3-day trip to Ladakh amid persisting tension with China. He was seen raising war cries with soldiers at the Karu military station. Singh also inaugurated over 60 infrastructure projects constructed by the Border Roads Organisation. Speaking at the event, the minister touched upon the issue of abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status and its subsequent bifurcation into 2 Union Territories in 2019.
