Watch: India successfully test-fires new gen advanced variant of Agni missile

India successfully test-fired a nuclear capable strategic Agni Prime missile off the coast of Odisha in Balasore on Saturday. It is a new generation advanced variant of Agni class of missiles and is said to have several new features. Agni Prime is a two-stage canisterised missile with a range capability between 1,000 and 2,000 km and it weighs 50 per cent less than Agni 3. Defence minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the Defence and Research Development Organisation (DRDO) for the successful test launch of the missile and expressed his happiness over the system's performance.
