Top militant commander among 5 terrorists killed by forces in twin encounters

Security forces gunned down five terrorists in two separate encounters on Wednesday. Terrorists were killed in Pombay and Gopalpora areas of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. In Gopalpara, militant the commander of The Resistance Force (TRF) Afaq Sikander was killed. Two militants were killed in the Gopalpara encounter while three militants were killed in another gunfight in Pombay. A joint security force consisting of Indian Army personnel and local police were involved in gunfight.  The search operation turned into an encounter after militants fired upon security forces.
