'Reject Zomato' trended on Twitter after a staffer of the food delivery platform allegedly told a customer from Tamil Nadu to know Hindi language. This after the customer had sought refund from the Zomato for a missing item he had ordered. The Zomato customer service executive, as per the screenshot of the chat posted by the man namely Vikash on Twitter, refused to refund citing language barrier. When the customer told the Zomato executive about hiring a local, the staffer purportedly responded by saying that Hindi is a national language and everybody should know it. This however sparked anger online with netizens trending 'reject Zomato'. Meanwhile, Zomato has apologised to the customer and other netizens and said the incident is 'unacceptable'.
