Shaurya Chakra for police officer killed in first ISIS-claimed attack in Kashmir

J&K police officer Imran Hussain Tak was today conferred with Shaurya Chakra posthumously by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The slain officer was killed on November 17, 2017 during a shootout with ISIS-affiliated terrorists in Srinagar in which a terrorist commander was killed and his accomplice arrested. However due to grievous injuries sustained during the firing, the officer Imran Hussain Tak could not survive and succumbed. Another policeman was also killed in the deadly shootout. The shootout was killed by ISIS through its Amaq news agency and was terror group's first claim of an attack in Kashmir. Watch this report for more.
