'Sardar Patel teamed up with Jinnah': BJP attacks Cong over leader's 'remarks'

After Savarkar, now a controversy has erupted over Sardar Patel as the BJP accuses Congress of vilifying the freedom hero at its recently-held CWC meeting. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, quoting some newspaper reports, alleged that Congress CWC member Tariq Hameed Karra accused Patel of teaming up with Jinnah to keep Jammu and Kashmir away from India. Patra asked whether Congress president Sonia Gandhi and MP Rahul Gandhi stopped Karra while he was making such remarks or not. The BJP also sought to know whether the Congress party will reprimand Karra and sack him from the CWC. However Karra has termed the newspaper reports as 'misrepresentation of his remarks'.
