Quad: China faces veiled jibes as PM Modi, Biden, Morrison, Suga meet in US

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the highly-anticipated physical summit of the Quad nations. It is a bloc which consists of India, United States of America, Japan, and Australia. In their opening remarks, all leaders, including Joe Biden, Scott Morrison, and Yoshihide Suga, spoke about their commitment to ensuring an open and safe Indo-Pacific region. The Quad is seen as a counterweight to China. Also, the summit comes just days after Australia, USA, and UK announced their AUKUS alliance, which is also being seen as aiming to contain Beijing.
