Army Chief General MM Naravane launched a scathing attack on China over its new border laws that came into effect from January 1. The army chief said that India was prepared to deal with any military ramifications of China's new land boundary law. He also said that major efforts are undertaken to see what all dual-use infrastructure in the border areas can be made use of. Under the new law, China is required by law to install boundary markers on all of its land borders in order to clearly designate the border. Army chief's statement came ahead of the Army Day and amid India-China 14th military-level talks over the Ladakh standoff. Watch for more details.
