J&K: Three militants involved in killing of a Sarpanch shot dead in Srinagar

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, involved in the recent killing of a sarpanch in Khonmoh, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Srinagar today. The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Nowgam after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area during night hours. The search operation turned into an encounter after the hiding militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated. All the three militants were killed in the ensuing firing.
