Indian Stabbed In Sydney: MEA tells Aus to act, reacts to ‘racist attack’ claims

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement over the stabbing of an Agra student in Sydney earlier this month. While calling the issue shocking and serious, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the government was in touch with authorities in Australia. He said that the process of providing the victim's family visas is also being expedited. 28-year-old Shubham Garg was reportedly stabbed 11 times in the face, chest and the abdomen while he was walking along the Pacific Highway in Sydney.
