Focus on Nihangs after body found near Singhu border; Farmer body condemns

Nihangs are in focus after a body of a man was found hanging near the protest site at Singhu border. The deceased man, with hand chopped off, was found by police early in the morning on October 15. Several videos of the incidents, with Nihang Sikhs around the man, went viral on social media. The man allegedly desecrated a holy granth. Police said the Nihangs were behind the killing of the man. Meanwhile, Samyukt Kisan Morcha, the umbrella body of the unions of farmers protesting the three farm laws, distanced itself from the incident and the Nihang group.
