Dust Cloud After Mizoram's Railway Bridge Collapse On Cam | 17 Workers Killed, Many Trapped

At least 17 workers were killed after an under-construction railway bridge collapsed in Mizoram on Wednesday. Officials said that 35 to 40 workers were present on the bridge at the time of the accident, and several others are feared trapped under the debris. The bridge was being constructed over the Kurung River near Aizawl as part of the Indian Railways project to connect all state capitals in the northeast region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences and announced compensation for the bereaved families. Home Minister Amit Shah also assured all possible help to the state government.
