Bengal govt rolls out ‘rejected’ Netaji tableau on Republic Day

- After the Centre's rejection, a tableau on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was showcased in the R-Day parade at Kolkata’s Red Road. On Wednesday, Banerjee along with senior state administration officials attended the parade in Kolkata. But the BJP alleged that the leader of the opposition in the assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, was not invited to the event. The Centre's rejection had triggered a tussle between the state and the Central government as CM Mamata Banerjee had accused the BJP of not honouring Bose on his 125th birth anniversary.
