New Jet Airways promoters granted security clearance by the Union Home Ministry. The move paved the way for the relaunch of the airline’s operations, closed in 2019 due to financial constraints. The airline conducted test flights on Thursday after Jalan-Kalrock consortium took over Jet Airways. Jet Airways operated its last flight on April 17, 2019, when Naresh Goyal owned it. The DGCA will grant the air operator certificate to jet airways depending on the test flight results.
