1) Outlander: What’s better than a period drama? A period drama that revolves around time travel and becomes a meta-period drama. Set in 1946, post-World War II, the series opens with Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Balfe) holidaying in Scotland with her husband Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies). Claire visits an ancient stone henge-like structure in the forest and is transported back in time to war-torn Scotland of the 1700s. The show adheres to the authenticity of language and historic facts regarding the anti-British rebellions prevalent at the time. Most remarkably, the show features a story arc pertaining to male rape, and breaches the taboo around the subject with sensitivity. While the treatment of the series is Game of Thrones-esque (expect violence, adult language and nudity), the time travelling and the female protagonist add a refreshing twist to a medieval drama.

2) AIB Podcast: 2 Million Celebrations: After the success of their recent podcasts with actors Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the comedy group released a special podcast to celebrate the 2 million subscribers mark on their YouTube channel. A casual conversation between the four comedians (Tanmay Bhat, Ashish Shakya, Gursimran Khamba and Rohan Joshi), and frequent collaborator Abish Mathew — the podcast gives the audience a peek into the group’s interpersonal dynamic and their working process. Expect behind-the-scenes anecdotes from their earliest videos, and disclaimers regarding the controversial Comedy Roast (2015). The appeal of the content lies in the banter between the boys, who are often seen taking a jab at each other on camera. Most importantly, the podcast is a testament to the fame that the group has garnered, and how each of them seem like they are still coming to terms with it.

3) CinemaSins: Criticism of cinema meets insult comedy. Founded by two American movie theatre managers, Jeremy Scott and Chris Atkinson, it’s for anyone who has ever walked out of a theatre frustrated with the movie they just saw. Titled Everything Wrong With…, each video is dedicated to one popular Hollywood film. The videos dissect each frame and point out everything from gaping plot holes, to minor continuity errors. Each error counts as a sin (hence, the name of the channel). But, the criticism doesn’t stop there. Sins are also added for silly things such as opening narrations, long credit rolls, the disappointing appearance of Joker (played by Jared Leto) in the Suicide Squad, and Kristen Stewart’s blank face in the Twilight series.
