Trapeze duo’s dangerous act on America’s Got Talent goes wrong. Watch video
A trapeze duo’s performance did not go as planned on the latest episode of America’s Got Talent.
A very talented trapeze duo’s very risky act had a very bad end on the latest episode of America’s Got Talent. Tyce Nielsen and Mary Wolfe-Nielsen, a married couple who together make up Duo Transcend, impressed the judges and the audience with their routine and also shocked them with an unfortunate mishap.

The duo took to the stage for a performance more dangerous than usual. They were to perform at a height with no harnesses, their trapeze bar on fire, the ground below them also on fire and a blindfold on the Tyce’s eyes.
After a few awe-inducing stunts, Mary was supposed to drop herself from the bar for the climax and Tyce was supposed to catch her feet in between the fall. Here’s how it went.
Mary’s feet slipped from Tyce’s hands and she landed on a thick mat on the floor. The audience and the judges were left shocked until Mary got up off the ground and smiled to reveal she was well and unhurt.
The duo asked the judges, including Heidi Klum, Mel B, Simon Cowell, Ken Jeong and Howie Mandel, to allow them to perform the stunt once again but they refused. “This isn’t America’s Got Perfection, it’s called, America’s Got Talent,” said Ken as he lauded their performance.

Simon agreed with him and said, “I don’t think there’s ever been a singer on any of our competitions who’s been note-perfect. It still doesn’t make them not amazing. It makes them human,” judge Simon Cowell added. “The consequences on this are slightly worse than slightly falling off key, where you nearly broke your neck.”
The judges voted to advance Duo Transcend to the next round.
